Rest In Peace: Bishop Emeritus Litsietsi Maqethuka Dube

In loving memory of our dear Bishop, below is a summary of his clerical journey.
- Bishop LM Dube worked as an Evangelist between 1963 and 1971
- He was ordained as a Pastor in 1973.
- He became Dean of the Western Deanery in 1980 and served as Dean under Bishop Shiri and Siphuma.
- He was consecrated as a Bishop on 16 December 2001.
- He was the 4th African Bishop and last Bishop before the church entered into the Diocesan establishment in January 2006.
- He succeeded Bishop Ambrose Moyo whom he had served as Bishop’s Deputy for 5 years.

Thusanang Trust
Thusanang Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zimbabwe Western Diocese Trust (referred to in short as Thusanang) is the diaconal arm of the ELCZ Western Diocese. It was established in 1993 with support from the Church of Sweden to mitigate the effects of HIV/ AIDS in the communities. The motto for Thusanang is “putting your faith into action”
